Employee Spotlight!

Our February spotlight of the month goes to Haarthi Sadasivam, Senior Product Manager. The spotlight recognizes Haarthi’s commitment to Brace Software’s Technical and Business Success. She talked to us about how Brace has contributed to her professional growth as well as her impact on Brace.

What is your position and what does that entail?

I’m a product manager here at Brace. I work with our customers and the servicing ecosystem to understand needs that can be solved through technology and help translate that vision into reality.

Tell me about your career before joining Brace and how you ended up here.

I started my career as an engineer at a large financial institution. I quickly realized that I liked working at technology focused companies that were at the forefront of growth and have been in the startup world since. I transitioned into product when I realized the impact of a product manager’s role in helping set a company’s direction and the skills I would be able to pick up across a range of disciplines — leadership, user experience, execution, strategy, and market analysis.

It was a quick decision to join Brace — Our executive team sold me on the opportunity of technology in the mortgage servicing world. And I was excited about the impact that I would have in my role in helping the company achieve its mission.

What is an exciting project you have been working on recently? What is your proudest professional accomplishment at Brace?

It’s been a rewarding experience building product(s) from the ground up in an industry that has largely missed out technology advancements. I’ve been focused on building out Brace’s core loss mitigation servicing platform to allow Servicers to more efficiently (in hours not weeks) outline a solution for a borrower who is going through financial hardship.

What is your favorite part of working at Brace?

We (the team) are constantly learning together. It’s clear that everyone here is passionate and cares about what we’re building — not something that I’ve always seen before. We’re not afraid to challenge each other and push ourselves to find better solutions.

It’s also been fun dropping Mortgage servicing knowledge on unsuspecting family and friends. Did you know that a mortgage gets transferred to 3–5 servicers on average throughout its lifetime, without the borrower having any say?

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

In the Pandemic World: Being at the forefront of new movie/show releases on my streaming apps, subscribing to too many newsletters, attempting to cook more (I’m too close to my kitchen these days), and following breaking news coverages on Twitter/CNN.
